Adventure IO will provide exceptional opportunities for guests of the Pendry San Diego Hotel to explore and learn techniques from Vuori athletes and ambassadors
Adventure IO (AIO) is taking guest engagement to the next level through a new partnership with TRAVELINK by American Express and Vuori, the premium performance clothing brand inspired by the California coastal lifestyle, at San Diego’s luxury Pendry Hotel. AIO, the proprietary technology platform offering Adventure experiences led by professional athletes and local experts, has partnered with Vuori to design a series of wellness vacations, the first being a three-day retreat at Pendry’s downtown San Diego location, hosted by Vuori’s world-class athletes, known as “Happiness Ambassadors.” Guests will have the chance to dive in and hone their skills in a variety of sporting and wellness pursuits including surfing, yoga, hiking, meditation and more, with Ambassadors in their respective fields leading the way. Additionally, guests will enter their rooms to find custom-curated Vuori “swag bags” to outfit them for the weekend’s fitness and wellness activities, receive 25% off at Vuori's Encinitas retail location during their stay, and be treated to the world-renowned Pendry service.
The roster of Vuori Ambassadors hosting the Pendry Wellness Retreats is topped by Rob Machado, a global surfing icon and former Association of Surfing Professionals Rookie of the Year. Known as one of the best free surfers in the world, Machado is also an environmental champion, dedicated to educating and encouraging environmental protection at the local level.

In addition to surfing with Machado, guests can choose from a variety of yoga disciplines, guided hikes, meditation and fitness sessions with some of Vuori’s top yogi’s and personal trainers. The days’ activities include catered lunches and special cocktail and happy hour events for Wellness guests.

The initial Adventure IO/Pendry San Diego Wellness retreat will take place from May 13-16, 2021. It is limited to 15 couples who will be split into two groups, to maximize one-on-one time with the Vuori Ambassadors. Other similar retreats at the San Diego location will roll out through 2021.
