ORANGE COUNTY, CALIF. (July 2021) – Adventure IO, a proprietary mobile platform offering premier adventure experiences led by professional athletes and local experts, is taking guest engagement to the next level through a new partnership with Montage International. Soon to be available across both the Montage Hotels & Resorts and Pendry Hotels & Resorts portfolios, the partnership with Adventure IO opens the door for guests to jump into and polish their skills at a range of sporting and outdoor pursuits from electric hydrofoiling to wakeboarding, fly fishing to rock climbing – even surfboard shaping and local brewery tours with notable locals and experts in their respective fields.
Adventure IO programming launched in April at Montage Laguna Beach and Pendry San Diego, and follows at Montage Deer Valley this winter. Other Montage and Pendry destinations across the US and in Mexico will roll out activities through 2021.

There are many highlights for guests to look forward to from Adventure IO. At Montage Laguna Beach, for instance, initial offerings include learning to skimboard under the watchful eye and tutelage of three-time World Skimboarding Champion Blair Conklin, learning to ride an electric hydrofoil with Lift Ambassador and SUP surfer and racer Chuck Glynn, as well as a next-level, iconic Expedition from the mainland to Catalina Island aboard Shambhala, a 100-ft. Azimut luxury super yacht.

At Pendry San Diego, initial options include a Salty Crew fishing Adventure with surf legend and brand ambassador Damien Hobgood, who once held the highest two-wave grand final score in pro surfing; cycling through San Diego with Victor Sheldon, brand ambassador of Specialized Bicycles; and joining a downtown brewery tour or an espresso run with fitness guru Iman Wilkerson, who has seven full marathons including two Boston Marathons under her laces.

Montage Deer Valley will launch its Adventure IO programming with options including an off-road 4x4 Adventure in the Uinta Mountains with local legend DJ Osborne; a fly fishing and wine experience with region's most sought after fishing guide, Joe Mitchell; hiking with master naturalist Rachel Mitchell; and a thrilling, full-day heli-skiing Adventure.
